The new degree program at Fort Hays State University (FHSU) takes students through all aspects of the hospitality and tourism business for three years. Through this program, students will gain the foundational information and practical experience necessary to succeed in the hospitality and tourism industries. The summary of the program’s courses totals 120 credit hours spread across 8 semesters.

From the fundamentals of customer service and the law to the basics of marketing and finance, students will also gain a well-rounded understanding of the hospitality and tourism industries. Through internships and other forms of practical learning, the program prepares students for careers in these industries.

Both food and beverage management and hospitality management classes are available. After completing the program, graduates will be equipped for career paths in the hospitality and tourism industries.
